Register now for workers’ comp conference Oct. 9-10 in Olympia
OLYMPIA (Aug. 25, 2014) — Every two years, union members and others interested in Washington’s workers’ compensation system gather to hear from expert speakers and presenters about the changes and policy issues affecting the safety net for injured workers. This year’s conference isn’t until October, but registration is now open and seats are already being filled.
Help spread the word: print, share and post the conference flier. If you’re ready to sign up, download and submit this registration form. The $135 registration fee covers materials and lunch both days.
Presented by the Washington State Labor Council and the state Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), this conference features a wide variety of workshops and topics geared for all levels of understanding and interest. Participants will hear from representatives of Project Help, L&I, the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, and others about changes in the ever-evolving workers’ compensation system. The conference should appeal to union representatives, rank-and-file workers, employers and others affected by the workers’ compensation system. (See the tentative agenda.)
Check out the Project Help website for more details on the conference agenda and how to earn CLE credits for attending.
