Support Massage Bar therapists still seeking first union contract
The following is from Office and Professional Employees (OPEIU) Local 8:
Massage Bar employees are leafleting at Sea-Tac Airport this week to bring attention to their efforts to secure a contract.
The Therapists continue to stand united for a contract that will recognize their professional skills by providing decent compensation, improving workplace standards and guaranteeing a meaningful voice on the job where all employees have a way to resolve problems and concerns.
“Our base wages have been stagnant for years, yet our employer refuses to address this,” said Massage Bar Therapist Heather Parent, “and that hurts our ability to provide great service to our clients.”
TAKE A STAND — Please support the efforts of these hard-working employees by calling The Massage Bar Inc.’s CEO Chris Woods at 206-985-7177 or emailing cwoods@massagebar.com. Tell him you support the Massage Therapists and urge him to settle a contract that will be good for employees and for business.
