Unionists gather for ‘Solidarity Saturday’ summit in Kennewick

KENNEWICK — So far this year, union members have gathered for daylong solidarity summits in Vancouver and Olympia to strengthen their unions. Next up, the Tri-Cities!

Join workers across central and eastern Washington for a day of workshops, discussions, and collective action that will supercharge your local union. Register now for “Solidarity Saturday: A Working People’s Summit” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the IBEW Local 112 hall, 114 N. Edison St. in Kennewick. Meet WSLC President Larry Brown and hear from keynote speaker WSLC Secretary Treasurer April Sims. This is a summit organized by the Washington Works Together table of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO for union members to hear about successful organizing campaigns in their region, build solidarity with other union members, and strengthen their ability to build a strong union.
