EVERETT, Wash. — How do we talk to members and coworkers who think differently than us regarding politics, racial and gender justice, membership, etc.? Would you like to be a better leader in your workplace and a voice for change? These are such big issues — what can we actually do about it?
Hosted and sponsored by the Snohomish Island County Central Labor Council, and co-sponsored by the Washington State Labor Council, UFCW 3000, Teamsters 38 and WFSE 1020, the learning objectives for this workshop are:
● Understand the impact of racism
● Talk about the importance of undoing racism in the workplace
● Connect with other union members in Snohomish and Island Counties on topics related to:
● Harassment at Work
● History of racism as a tool to divide the working class
● Building Solidarity across race and ethnicity
