Now is the time to learn from others, build worker power
Union members: Join ‘Our Power Is Our Labor’ online event Thursday, April 14
Union members are invited to join Our Power is Our Labor, an online conversation on building power, learning from each other and showing up for all workers from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14. The virtual forum, sponsored by the Washington Education Association, AFT Washington, MLK Labor and the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, will feature panelists including workers from Starbucks, health care, tech trades, educators, and bus drivers and mechanics. Breakout sessions will follow to share ideas, success stories and build connections to current needs.
Save your seat at the table and join us on YouTube Live on April 14. The first hour will be a panel discussion; the second hour will feature breakout sessions for union members only to build power, learn and share from one another and join the fight.
Build your knowledge about how external/cross union organizing increases power and visibility of working-class struggles and gains from labor actions. Join us on April 14.
