Thurston-Lewis-Mason CLC elects new officers

OLYMPIA (May 8, 2024) — Delegates to the Thurston-Lewis-Mason Central Labor Council, which brings together nearly 40 union locals operating within Thurston, Lewis and Mason counties, elected new leadership at the council’s regular meeting on April 17.
Rachelle Martin, a member of WFSE Local 443, was elected president of the Central Labor Council. Kian Alden (UFCW 367) was re-elected Vice President, Patty Estes (UFCW 367) was elected Secretary, Ryan Schmautz (WFSE 443) was elected Political Action Coordinator and Colton Rose (UFCW 367) was re-elected Sergeant at Arms.
One of those young leaders is Evan Wood (WFSE 872) who joins returning members Jeremy Clevenger and John Adams (both Laborers 252) on the Council’s Executive Board. Additionally, Margaret Clevenger (WFSE 443,) Tucker Rzepecki (UFCW 367,) and Alice Rosewater (AFSCME 3758) were elected Trustees.
“This new group of leaders are motivated to continue the fight that Peter and Bob have been at the forefront of for so long,” Martin said. “Thank you, Brother Guenther and Brother Lahmann. We are very excited to see what your ‘retirement’ brings.”
