TAKE A STAND!

How to support striking Machinists

As Machinists continue to strike Boeing, labor and community support is essential. Here’s how you can stand with the workers.

Updated September 30, 2024

WALK A PICKET LINE: pickets are staffed 24/7. Help our Machinist siblings hold the line: stop by a Strike HQ on your lunch break, head over after work, bring the family out for the afternoon on the weekend.

Shuttles will take you from the strike HQ to the picket lines. Many strike locations do not have available parking.

**Folks are especially needed at the Seattle and Renton locations due to the large number of gates.**

Picket HQs:

NEW DONATE TO THE IAM 751 HARDSHIP FUND: Machinists are missing paychecks holding the line. Consider donating to their hardship fund — contributions of any amount are gratefully appreciated. Donate here. (click the ‘751 Hardship Fund’ blue button at the top of the page, select ‘hardship fund’ when entering payment info.)

STOCK THE PICKET LINES: bring supplies to a picket HQ near you. Right now, the workers could especially use:

  • Sandwich Bread
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Tuna
  • Hard boil eggs
  • Individualized snack packs – chips, nuts, fruit, carrots, cookies…
  • Sandwich Bags
  • Coffee
  • Firewood

SUPPORT THE PICKET LINES: in addition to walking the picket lines, volunteers are needed to help support the lines. Check in with a Strike HQ to volunteer for:

  • Kitchen duty
  • Wood runs
  • Making signs
  • Answering phones
  • Shuttle Driving

SIGN THE SOLIDARITY PLEDGE: help demonstrate the broad support these workers have. Sign your name to the Machinists’ solidarity pledge.
