What makes a good job?

Share what a good job means to you in a survey guiding workforce development in Washington State

OLYMPIA, WA (February 27, 2025) — What makes a good job? That’s the question asked by Washington’s Workforce Training & Education Coordinating Board in a survey seeking to gain insights on wages, benefits, safety, and the value of union representation.

The survey is part of the agency’s workforce plan, Talent and Prosperity for All (TAP), a four-year strategy for a strong and successful workforce development system. The intention of this survey is to gain an understanding of the specific job quality elements that Washingtonians consider most important to them, and to use learnings to advance job quality statewide.

The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO is encouraging all labor leaders and unionized workers to answer and share the survey to ensure the power of a union job is represented, and that the full breadth of worker experiences are shared.

The survey is open until February 28.
