Labor supports mobilization for ‘No Kings’
The next mass mobilizations for ‘No Kings’ protests will be March 28 in dozens of Washington cities — and thousands of locations across the U.S.
SEATTLE, WA (March 16, 2026) — Millions of working people are expected to take to the streets nationwide on Saturday, March 28 for the latest ‘No Kings’ mobilizations, a series of rallies and marches begun in opposition to the Trump/Vance administration’s authoritarian, pro-billionaire regime. This is the third set of mobilizations under the No Kings banner, following actions in June and October of 2025; October’s protests saw more than seven million people hit the streets, per organizers.
Dozens of international unions and labor organizations have endorsed the actions, including the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), Communications Workers of America (CWA), Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), National Education Association (NEA), Office & Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Pride At Work, and Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Locally, MLK Labor, Protect17, OPEIU Local 8, Seattle Education Association, SEIU 775, and the Washington State Nurses Association are supporting No Kings mobilizations in Seattle and elsewhere in Washington, encouraging union members to attend.
“Today’s labor movement stands on the shoulders of the giants who came before us, workers who built the labor movement before the law ever recognized their humanity. They passed the torch to us — and it’s our time to carry it forward,” said Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO President April Sims. “Our message is clear: in this country, workers are the power. Working people decide — not kings.”
Actions are planned in dozens of cities and towns across Washington and the Pacific Northwest, from Bellingham to Grants Pass, and Longview to Boise. Readers can find a full list of March 28 mobilizations at NoKings.org.
And in advance of the March 28 protests, organizers are running a series of trainings to sustain and strengthen actions opposing the federal administration’s attacks on immigrants and working people. A list of virtual trainings covering topics like deescalation and protest rights is available at NoKings.org.
