The Stand, WSLC win labor media honors

The International Labor Communications Association announced Thursday that The Stand swept the 2012 ILCA Awards in its category for union websites, winning First Awards honors for Best Content, Best Design and General Excellence. The ILCA is the professional organization for union communicators in North America with several hundred member organizations with a total circulation in the tens of millions.

“On behalf of the entire staff here, I want to thank the ILCA for this recognition of our work,” said David Groves, Editor of The Stand.  “But it’s been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. We considered it a challenge before the whole human race, and we weren’t gonna lose.”
