Citizen ‘lobbyists’ land at Capitol for WSLC legislative event

OLYMPIA (Feb. 20, 2014) — Based on the feedback from its participants, this year’s new and improved Legislative Lobbying Day organized by the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO was a great success. Many of the rank-and-file union members who participated in the Feb. 7 event said that getting the opportunity to do some citizen lobbying at the Capitol was a great experience that they will encourage others at their unions to do in future years.
