Spokane Labor Rally is Oct. 15, then go bowling with WA YELL

SPOKANE — All union members and their family members are invited to join the Spokane Regional Labor Council, AFL-CIO and its affiliates for the 22nd annual Spokane Labor Rally on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana.

“The Labor Rally has always been a great opportunity for our members and their families to come out, have some fun, and meet some of the candidates who have earned labor’s endorsement,” said Beth Thew, Secretary-Treasurer of the Spokane Regional Labor Council. “It’s a really fun and relaxed social event where folks can come together, have some dinner and beverages, and share what they’re working on. Everyone walks away energized, a little more educated, and ready to vote for people who are going to stand up for working families in our state and locally.”

After the rally, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night, the Spokane Chapter of WA YELL (Washington Young Emerging Labor Leaders) will host a Bowling Night at Lilac Lanes, 1112 E. Magnesium Road. All ages are welcome to join in this casual event. Get details.

Tickets for the Spokane Labor Rally are available at the door or at Spokane-area union offices. A $1 donation is requested for food, beverages and door-prize entry. Children 12 and under eat free. Also, please bring non-perishable food items to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank to help fight hunger in the community.
