Free assistance with citizenship applications Dec. 6 in Sunnyside

Citizen-14Dec06SUNNYSIDE, Wash. — Are you or is someone you know a Legal Permanent Resident who wants to apply to become a U.S. citizen?

Volunteer immigration attorneys, paralegals and interpreters will be offering free assistance with citizenship applications at a special event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Lower Valley Credit Union headquarters, 900 E. Yakima Valley Highway in Sunnyside. The event is sponsored by Washington New Americans, One America, and the AILA Washington State Chapter.

Appointments are limited so email or call 1-877-926-3924 to register. Download, post and distribute English and Spanish versions of the event flier to help spread the word.

The groups’ next free citizenship clinic in Eastern Washington will be in Yakima in mid-April. Look for the details here at The Stand (with a little more advance notice).
