Tina Morrison elected to succeed Beth Thew at Spokane CLC

Morrison-TinaSPOKANE (Dec. 1, 2015) — Tina Morrison of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) Local 105 has been elected as Secretary Treasurer of the Spokane Regional Labor Council, replacing Beth Thew, who is retiring after 15 years as the administrative officer of that regional AFL-CIO central labor council. Morrison will take office in January 2016.

“I am deeply honored to have been elected to serve as Secretary Treasurer,” Morrison said. “I have big shoes to fill but look forward to working with the Executive Board team to support and further the interests of labor in our region.”

Tina has served as AFM Local 105 Secretary Treasurer for seven years, as President for 10 years, and is currently a member of the AFM International Executive Board.

“Tina Morrison has dedicated years serving working families and will carry this passion and dedication to the Spokane Regional Labor Council,” Thew said. “I am excited about the future of the Spokane Regional Labor Council under her leadership.”
