The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is pleased to announce a series of three, one-hour webinars on how to access and utilize several key BLS products: the Employee Benefit Survey (EBS), the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and several different BLS wage surveys. Each seminar will focus on just one of these three different BLS products. There is no charge for these webinars.

— The Employee Benefit Survey (EBS) webinar will be Wednesday, Jan. 13 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.;

— The Consumer Price Index (CPI) webinar will be Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; and

— The Wage Survey webinar will be Wednesday, March 9, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Participants will need a telephone to connect with a toll-free number for webinar audio and a computer with a working internet connection to connect to the on-screen presentation.  In order to receive the toll-free number and web address of the presentation, participants must pre-register for the webinar by clicking below.

Union officers and staff with responsibility for collective bargaining, government affairs and organizing should consider participating in these webinars.  Each webinar will follow the same format, first explaining the data sources and methodology; participants will learn how to download publications, news releases and how to query the database for specific requests and how this information can be used.  Those participating in each webinar will be emailed the webinar materials.  At the conclusion of each webinar, you’ll be invited to participate in a brief, anonymous, on-line evaluation survey to help plan future webinars.
