2 things you can do TODAY to oppose TPP

TPP-call-in-day(Feb. 8, 2016) — Now is the time, as supporters of the Trans-Pacific Partnership attempt to build momentum for the agreement, for working people to weigh in with their members of Congress. Let them know that if the TPP comes up for a vote, we want them to oppose it and all other trade deals like it that lower our wages, kill our jobs, lower environmental standards, raise prescription drug prices, and increases corporate influence over our democracy.

Here are two ways to do that:

CALL CONGRESS– Today (Feb. 8) and tomorrow are national call-in days to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Call Congress at 1-855-856-7545 and leave a message for your U.S. Representative to oppose the TPP.

SIGN THE PETITION — Please sign this petition to the U.S. International Trade Commission urging it to fairly and honestly evaluate the economic impact of the TPP on working families.

“Simply repeating the models that wrongly predicted job booms from NAFTA and permanent normal trade relations with China won’t work,” reads the petition. “I am counting on you to protect jobs and wages, not simply profits.”
