Although I-976 appears to have passed, the I-1000/R88 results remain too close to call.

“I’m looking toward the last-minute ballots coming in,” Cherika Carter, campaign manager for the Washington Fairness Coalition, the campaign supporting Referendum 88, told The Seattle Times on Tuesday night. “I recognize that young people and people of color like to take their time voting.”

Hundreds of thousands of ballots remain to be counted, with the next major updates scheduled to be posted late Wednesday afternoon. Check Vote.WA.gov for the latest results.
