Join Sen. Murray at workers’ town hall Oct. 20 in Seattle

As ballots go out this week, find out what’s at stake for workers in this election

SEATTLE — MLK Labor and the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO invite all union members to attend the Workers First Economy Town Hall with Senator Patty Murray on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at MLK Labor, 5030 1st Ave. South. Please RSVP here.

In solidarity with your fellow working people, we ask all attendees to wear a mask. If you or someone in your household is sick or has COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.

Join Sen. Patty Murray, labor’s endorsed candidate for re-election to the U.S. Senate, for a discussion about what is at stake for working people in the 2022 election, and the policies we need to build a workers first economy.

Freedom is on the ballot in these mid-term elections: freedom to join a union, freedom to vote, freedom to access health care, and freedom to earn a living wage. Electing pro-worker legislators in the Senate and House will be critical to protecting these freedoms, and to control our own bodily freedoms both inside and outside the workplace.

Join Sen. Murray on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to talk about affordable child care, passing the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, paid family leave, and many more issues that matter most to Washington’s working families. Please RSVP to attend.

CHECK OUT THE UNION DIFFERENCE in Washington: higher wages, affordable health and dental care, job and retirement security.
