Celebrate Int’l Women’s Day on March 4 with the WSLC

SEATTLE — The Women’s Committee of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO invites all to participate in Rest to Be Your Best! A Day of Radical Self-Care Honoring International Women’s Day. The event will be Saturday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Machinists 751 Hall, 9125 15th Pl. S. in Seattle.

Union activists work hard to build power for working people and opportunities for our Sisters and Siblings to lead — but liberation is not just about action. Caring for ourselves and our communities is a radical act. In this spirit, all are inviting to join the WSLC on March 4 for a few hours of self-care in a space centering the liberating power of joy, rest, and fellowship. This will be a self-guided spa, so wear comfortable clothes and feel free to join us without make-up. Refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP to attend and share this event flier.

This event celebrates womanhood in its many, complex forms. All genders are invited to join in this celebration.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, with proceeds benefiting the Washington Women Labor Leaders in Action leadership program.
