Support Homegrown sandwich workers’ strike fund

SEATTLE (Jan. 12, 2024) — Homegrown sandwich shop workers have been fighting for more than two years for their union and for a first contract. Workers from two stores are on strike since late last fall in protest of the unfair termination of union leader Sydney Lankford, who was fired after speaking up at a union delegation.

These brave workers continue to picket and continue to pressure the company to do the right thing.

But Homegrown workers need financial support to keep up their courageous fight for a union and to #BringSydBack.

TAKE A STAND — UNITE HERE Local 8 has set up a strike fund to support Homegrown workers. Please contribute online today so they can keep fighting as long as it takes to win a fair contract!
