Make labor’s voice heard

Volunteer for the WSLC’s member-to-member Get Out the Vote program, Labor Neighbor

SEATTLE, WA (September 26, 2024) — The leaves are changing and the weather is cooling, but worker power is heating up. Elections determine the conditions Labor organizes under. 2024 presents an opportunity to both elect worker champions at the local, statewide, and national level and to defend pro-worker policies that our movement has fought for.

That’s why the WSLC is putting out the call for volunteers for Labor Neighbor, the Council’s member-to-member GOTV program. This grassroots effort knocking doors and making calls to talk with union members and their families about the candidates that labor supports has proven to make a difference in tight races.

WSLC staff and union summer interns pose for a photo at a 2024 Primary Labor Neighbor walk.

Working people’s votes decide elections. That’s why Labor has such a legacy of storied political action. We know that elections are a time to flex our strength and demonstrate the contagious power of our movement.

Local union members laid the foundation with tremendous work in countless districts with Labor Neighbor during the primaries, aided by pancakes, pizza and outrageous amounts of coffee. Be part of the movement of union members building on that power mobilizing working people to vote in November!

TAKE ACTION: Tap in to the WSLC’s Labor Neighbor program to help ensure working people’s voices are heard in this critical election. No experience necessary! Bring your family, friends, and coworkers. Sign up today.
