Learn skills to bridge the political divide

WSLC offering trainings on empathy-based canvassing rooted in the importance of unions and the labor movement

SEATTLE, WA (October 15, 2024) — Working people’s votes have the power to decide elections. That’s why it’s so important that we work to build support for pro-worker candidates who will fight for thriving communities for all working families.

The WSLC is offering trainings for workers to build valuable skills for having meaningful conversations with other working folks. Whether a conversation with a coworker or a morning spent knocking doors with fellow union members, authentic conversations can be the difference between working folks exercising their right to vote or not.

Learn skills and strategies to effectively engage fellow workers on issues like workers rights, inspire solidarity among working people, and build support for organized labor, all rooted in a framework that recognizes the role of race, gender, and class in shaping our experiences and our political landscape.

TAKE A STAND: The training will be offered twice, on Thursday, October 17 training from 5:30 – 7:00pm and Thursday, October 24 also from 5:30-7:00pm.
