Support Elysian Teamsters’ contract fight

Sign the petition and show Anheuser-Busch that labor and community stand with the workers

SEATTLE, WA (November 7, 2024) — For over a year, a group of 30 courageous Teamsters at Elysian Brewery in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood have been fighting for a first-time union contact.

Elysian is owned by Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev), the largest multinational brewery in the world. Instead of bargaining fairly and valuing its workforce, the company hired a union-busting law firm and appears intent on sabotaging the negotiations process. Despite strong profits, the company continues to drag its feet at the bargaining table and deny the workers the right to a fair contract.

The workers have rallied, picketed, leafleted, and marched on the boss to protest the company’s refusal to negotiate in good faith. As management continues to stall, the workers voted overwhelmingly on October 12 to authorize a strike.

In a statement after that vote, Shannon Mullins, a quality assurance lead who has worked at Elysian for 6 years and is a member of the union negotiations committee, was clear about the workers’ priorities: “We want to see a contract we feel good about, one that we can actually vote on and feel confident is going to take care of us.”

The workers have invested countless hours into Elysian’s products that make Anheuser Busch so much profit. They just want to keep brewing up good beer — and see some of their labor’s profit in their paychecks.

Now, the workers are calling on all union members and community supporters to stand with them.

TAKE A STAND: sign the petition in solidarity with the workers.

Teamsters will be back in negotiations with the company on November 19-20. Signing the workers’ petition sends a strong message to Anheuser-Busch that Washington’s labor movement will accept nothing less than a strong Teamsters contract at Elysian Brewery.
