Bargaining 101 with LERC

The WA Labor and Education Research Center is offering collective bargaining training for union members

SEATTLE, WA (May 5, 2025) — Starting May 6, the Labor Education and Research Center at South Seattle College is offering it’s popular training on collective bargaining, arming union members with the skills they need to build winning contract campaigns.

This is a complete Bargaining 101 Course that covers all aspects of bold, exciting, member driven contract campaigns. This series is designed to help equip workers with the tools they need to win the strongest contracts possible. Over the course of five weeks, we’ll cover legal frameworks, skills at the bargaining table, planning effective participatory contract campaigns, preparing contract proposals, and participatory bargaining.

This five week collective bargaining training is open to union members and staff and will be held across five Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm, both in-person at the Labor Center in Georgetown and online via Zoom.
