UNITE HERE Local 8 offering four-week organizing training and workshop series
SEATTLE, WA (June 3, 2025) — UNITE HERE Local 8, Seattle’s hospitality workers’ union, is recruiting for a four-week campaign workshop and volunteer opportunity, education and experience focused on aspects of building and winning union campaigns. Workshop session will cover skills needed to combat billionaire corporations and global private equity, new ways to think about campaign strategy, and opportunities to learn hands-on corporate research skills. There are also linked volunteer opportunities to put these lessons into action, participating in ongoing campaigns led by hotel housekeepers, kitchen workers and food servers.
Workshops will be at the UNITE HERE Local 8 SODO offices in Seattle (5030 1st Ave. S, Suite 201) and campaign work will take place all over the Puget Sound region.
