“John Traynor led our legislative work in 2025 through a tough and complex session, helping secure major policy and revenue wins for Washington’s working families,” said April Sims, President of the WSLC. “John is a dedicated, tireless advocate for working people and committed to the values of solidarity and respect that underpin our labor movement. He has my full confidence as he steps into this new role.”
With deep roots in Washington’s labor movement, Traynor is eager to put his skills to work in a new position.
“United through the WSLC, Washington’s labor movement has been instrumental in improving working and living conditions for people all across this state,” said Traynor. “I’m looking forward to digging into next session’s work to keep moving the needle forward for working people.”
