Take a stand: Stop Buying Starbucks Day of Action
As union baristas step up the pressure in their open-ended ULP strike, supporters can help get the word out about the boycott at not-yet-union stores
SEATTLE, WA (December 11, 2025) — Almost a month into the longest unfair labor practice strike at the company, Starbucks Workers United baristas are once again escalating their fight for a fair contract, calling on their union siblings and community members to help get the word out about Starbucks’ history of union-busting and other violations of labor law.
Since starting their strike on November 13, more than 3,000 baristas at more than 145 stores in more than 105 cities have hit the picket line, including multiple locations in Washington state. Last week, workers rallied outside the Starbucks building in New York City and were joined on the line by NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Teamsters sanctioned the strike nationwide and drivers have turned trucks around at picket lines, disrupting Starbucks’ supply chain. Support for the strike is global, with workers in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK demonstrating outside local stores and offices. Yesterday, union baristas brought the picket line to the Chicago Roastery, shutting down the biggest Starbucks store in the world.
As their open-ended strike continues, union baristas are now asking supporters to take part in the Stop Buying Starbucks Day of Action on December 15, leafletting at local, not-yet-union stores.

From Starbucks Workers United:
Union baristas across the country are on an open-ended ULP strike, the longest in Starbucks’ history, after years of illegal union busting and refusal to settle a fair contract by the company. Workers are demanding fair hours, higher take-home pay, and a resolution of the hundreds of outstanding labor law violations that Starbucks continues to commit.
On December 15, we’re asking allies across the country to host simple leafletting actions at non-union Starbucks stores to ask customers to Stop Buying Starbucks.
Actions only need 1 to 3 people. If your group usually turns out more folks, please split up and cover multiple stores so we can cover as many stores as possible.
