Ante-up for working people’s power
Join the WSLC for Casino Night, the Council’s first annual President’s Presidents’ Day political fundraiser
The following is from the WSLC:
SEATTLE, WA (January 27, 2026) — What do blackjack, raffle prizes, union siblings, and political power have in common? You’ll find out on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the IAM 751 Hall in Seattle.
The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO (WSLC) is rolling out the red carpet for the first annual President’s Presidents’ Day Casino Night Political Fundraiser and you’re invited to ante-up for something bigger than bragging rights — political power for working people.
“Building meaningful, independent political power for working people is more vital now than ever,” said WSLC President April Sims. “2026 brings many opportunities for working people to decide the balance of power in this country. Our Casino Night is a chance to resource that fight and share the joy and fellowship with one another that is essential for fueling this work.”

From 6:00–10:00 pm, we’re bringing the labor movement together for a high-energy night of fun, food, and friendly competition. With an entry ticket, guests receive casino chips to play classic casino-style games, trade their chips for raffle tickets, and compete for great prizes throughout the night.
Casino Night is about coming together, having fun, and investing in the infrastructure labor needs to win. It’s about making sure working people—not corporations—set the agenda in Olympia and across our state.
So, grab your union crew. Dress to impress in your best union swag. Come play, connect, and be part of building the power we need—now and for the long haul.
