Rally on Saturday for good jobs at SeaTac Airport

At noon on Saturday, April 28, more than 1,000 airport workers and community leaders — many of them immigrants — will rally at Sea-Tac Airport and then march down International Boulevard to call on the Port of Seattle and Alaska Airlines to make sure all airport jobs are good jobs.

TAKE A STAND! Supporters of airport workers are encouraged to attend. Meet at noon at the airport’s International Flag Pavilion across from the Radisson Hotel, 18118 International Blvd, and then march down International Blvd. past Alaska Airlines corporate headquarters to Angle Lake Park, 19408 International Blvd.

There are more than 4,000 poverty-wage jobs at Sea-Tac Airport. These are the workers who keep our airport running doing jobs like baggage handler, wheelchair agent, cabin cleaner and taxi and shuttle drivers.

Joined by family members, supporters, and community leaders, these workers will call on the Port of Seattle and big corporate players like Alaska Airlines to do what it takes to make sure all the jobs at our airport are good jobs.
