Get out the vote with Labor Neighbor

Take part in real conversations with real people about what’s really at stake on our ballots this year

EVERETT, WA (September 23, 2026) — Washington voters have big choices on their ballots this November. Do millionaires and billionaires get a tax cut, or will the ultrawealthy pay their fair share to fund education? Who will sit on the state’s Supreme Court? Will pro-worker majorities in the State Legislature grow or shrink? Which party will control the U.S. House of Representatives come January?

With just over 40 days until Election Day, the Washington State Labor Council is kicking off its Labor Neighbor program, activating union members to talk to other union members about what’s on our ballots this year and the power working people have to decide the outcome of our elections.

“On Election Night, we want to know that we’ve done everything we could to guide the direction of our state to better serve working people,” said WSLC Political & Strategic Campaigns Director Osta Davis. “The Labor Neighbor program provides just that: an opportunity to to plug into real conversation, with real people, about what’s really at stake. It’s remarkable to see how much of a difference we can make by showing up.”

Labor Neighbor walks kick off this weekend in Everett, hitting the streets to get out the ‘no’ vote on three harmful ballot initiatives, I-001, I-638, and I-645.

I-001 is so poorly written it would weaken existing Washington law ensuring parents are immediately notified by schools the moment an alleged crime against their child has been reported. I-638 would subject girls who want to play school sports to invasive sex inspections. I-645 would give households making more than $80,000 a month a tax cut while defunding tax breaks for working families and small businesses.
