Sign up for WSLC annual charity golf tourney July 24 in Camas

golf-ball-13VANCOUVER (June 12, 2013) — Union delegates who plan to attend the Washington State Labor Council 2013 convention here — plus all Clark County-area union members and community supporters — should make plans to participate in the 10th Annual WSLC Golf Invitational on Wednesday, July 24. This charity fundraiser, hosted by the WSLC, Labor 1992 Corp., Foundation for Working Families, and Union Home Services, will be at the Camas Meadows Golf Course, which is about a 20-minute drive from the Vancouver Hilton where the convention will begin the following day.

All tournament proceeds benefit the Foundation for Working Families disaster relief funds, as well as community service agencies in Washington State. This past year, the Foundation helped many union members and their families facing serious hardships and there is a great need to rebuild those funds. This annual golf event, in addition to being great fun and an opportunity to win some excellent prizes, is the principal fundraiser for the Foundation.
