AFL-CIO’s Trumka reacts to Walker’s bid for presidency
WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 13, 2015) — AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka issued the following statement today in response to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s formal announcement of his candidacy for president:
Scott Walker is a national disgrace.

Nice and succinct. I suspect Abraham Lincoln had such a disgrace as Walker in mind when he asserted “All that harms labor is treason to America. No line can be drawn between these two. If any man tells you he loves America, yet hates labor, he is a liar…If a man tells you he trusts America, yet fears labor, he is a fool.
Good to recall that not every Republican seeking the White House has been a national disgrace.But it’s sure been a long while since Lincoln.
