Celebrate Flag Day with June 14 Labor Neighbor walk in Pierce Co.

LN-16Jun14-28thLD-walkTACOMA — The first Labor Neighbor walk of the 2016 election season in Pierce County will be held on Flag Day — Tuesday, June 14 — from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Union volunteers will visit fellow union members in the 28th Legislative District to deliver literature and explain why labor’s endorsed candidates — Senate challenger Marisa Peloquin, House challenger Mari Leavitt, and Rep. Christine Kilduff — have earned their union’s support. (Download the event flier. Please post and share.)

Participants in the June 14 Labor Neighbor walk will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the UFCW Local 367 office, 6403 Lakewood Drive SW in Tacoma, for snacks and a brief training. Then they will hit the doors from 6 to 8 p.m. to deliver information and talk to other union members about these candidates and the importance of their races.
