WSLC’s April Sims outlines help available for state’s workers

TACOMA (April 6, 2020) — April Sims, Secretary Treasurer of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, hosted a Facebook Live event Friday to explain what federal and state assistance is available to Washington’s working families amid the coronavirus pandemic. She explained the basics of what the federal CARE Act offers, Washington state programs that are available, and answered specific questions from participants — all while links to these resources were shared in real time.
