Union volunteers needed for FUN Banks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays

(July 6, 2020) — As Washington state and the nation grapple with three ongoing crises — the COVID-19 pandemic, its economic fallout, and addressing racial injustice — it’s become increasingly clear that who we elect to represent us in government — especially at the state level — can have major consequences for our families’ health and well-being. With Washington’s primary election just four weeks away (ballots will be mail in about 10 days!), now is the time to get engaged in the effort to inform union members about who has earned labor’s endorsement and urge them to vote in this critical election.

Labor Neighbor, the grassroots political action program of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, will be conducting FUN Banks from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday nights throughout the month of July. Union volunteers, working from the safety and comfort of their own homes, are needed to help phone their fellow union members to let them know who labor’s endorsed candidates are in some critical Primary races that will decide who gets elected this fall.
