ELECTION

This is it: VOTE, then help get out the vote

Final Labor Neighbor walks, phone FUN banks need volunteers

(Nov. 2, 2022) — Next Tuesday is Election Day and there are very tight races up and down the ballot in Washington state. That means your vote will make a difference—especially on the local level. Your vote will help decide whether we have state and local governments that put working people first and protect our freedoms, or whether they will prioritize big corporations and the wealthiest among us.

No more putting it off. Find that ballot, check which candidates support working people, fill it out, and mail it in or deposit it in a secure election dropbox in your area. Do it today!

Already voted? There’s more you can do to help.

Since July, hundreds of Labor Neighbor volunteers throughout the state have been working to educate fellow members about which candidates have earned labor endorsement. At neighborhood walks and phone fun banks, these volunteers helped make a difference in the Aug. 2 primary election and they will make a difference again in next week’s election.

This weekend’s final neighborhood walks will be held in Tukwila and Mount Vernon on Saturday, and Bellingham on Sunday.

TAKE A STAND — Make sure your union is represented! Volunteer for Labor Neighbor activities and urge your Union siblings and co-workers to do the same. Even if you live outside the targeted districts, you can still help in that area and/or with phone fun banks from the comfort of your home on Wednesday (TONIGHT!) starting at 5 p.m. In addition, there will be Fun Banks on Monday, Nov. 7 and Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. Check the schedule and fill out the Labor Neighbor Volunteer Form today!
