LCLAA invites all to Dia De Los Muertos in Pasco on Nov. 11

PASCO, Wash. — The Pacific NW chapter of Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) invites all to join them in a celebration Dia De Los Muertos featuring food and entertainment at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Teamsters 839 Hall, 1103 W. Sylvester St. in Pasco.

Sen. Rebecca Saldaña (D-Seattle), PNW LCLAA’s Leader of the Year, will be a special guest at the event.

Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a holiday of joyful celebration of our departed loved ones and the symbiotic relationship between life and death. To welcome home the spirits of our departed loved ones, families build altars in their honor. These altars have a series of ofrendas, or offerings, that vary from one culture to another but often include yellow marigolds, candles, photos of the deceased ones, papel picado or cut tissue-paper designs, as well as favorite food and beverages.

Send photos of your loved ones for the Pasco event’s ofrenda to info@lclaapnw.org.
