Leave food donations by your mailbox on May 11

NALC’s Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive will provide an urgently needed boost for food banks in your community

Each year, letter carriers head out on their routes on the second Saturday in May to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries. Since launching in 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout Washington state and the entire country.

The need is great, but you can help. The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO invites you to join letter carriers and their partner organizations in the fight to end hunger in our communities by participating in the annual Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive on Saturday, May 11.

It’s easy. Simply leave your donation of non-perishable food in a bag near your mailbox on Saturday, and your letter carrier will do the rest.

You may also choose to make a donation to your local food bank, use this NALC search tool to donate what you can directly to a food bank in your community.
