Rally with striking Boeing Machinists

Machinists on strike at Boeing to rally in Seattle, a statement of worker power as their fight for a fair contract continues

SEATTLE, WA (October 11, 2024) — Striking members of IAM 751/W24 will rally at the union’s Seattle hall on Tuesday, October 15, ramping up pressure on Boeing as the strike enters it’s fourth week.

“This rally is more than just an event,” said the union in a social media post. “It’s a powerful statement to Boeing, the industry, and every worker in this country – we will not back down! Every step we take together is another step toward securing the contract we deserve and one that reflects the value of our labor and the future we are fighting for.”

Washington’s labor movement and many non-union workers have stood with striking Machinists since they walked out at midnight on September 13th, joining picket lines, donating supplies and supporting the hardship fund. Working people are backing the Machinists because their fight is bigger than a dispute over wages and benefits; this strike is workers fighting for the safety of the flying public, and for a safer Boeing, driven to produce quality airplanes — not maximize profits.

Now, supporters are called to join this strike rally and demonstrate the incredible solidarity and strength of working people united together.

TAKE A STAND: Join the workers on Tuesday, October 15 at 12 p.m. at the IAM 751 Seattle Union Hall (9135 15th Place S, Seattle, WA 98108). Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
