Discover your future career!
Join the Yakima & South Central Counties Labor Council for an Apprenticeship & Trades Fair on Saturday, October 4
YAKIMA, WA (September 25, 2025) — Looking to learn a skilled trade, pursue a rewarding career, and build a prosperous future for you and your family? Come down to the Yakima & South Central Counties Labor Council’s Apprenticeship & Trades Fair on October 4 to connect with local unions and learn about the apprenticeship opportunities available in Washington.
In partnership with South Central Workforce, which oversees the public WorkSource system in Kittitas, Klickitat, Skamania, and Yakima counties, the Yakima CLC is hosting this event to ensure the community knows about the many opportunities to get into a good union job. The CLC has found that most people don’t know what union resources are out there for them or how to access a good union job — but those opportunities and resources are abundant, and the CLC is hoping this event will introduce more community members to the idea that a union job can be life-changing.
The event is also a partnership with local unions and labor organizations, including Laborers Local 348, SEIU Healthcare 1199NW, the SEIU Training Fund, United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, WFSE Local 1326, and the Washington State Labor Council.
Other unions interested in participating can contact event organizer Raul Lopez, President of the Yakima CLC at raull@seiu1199nw.org.
Readers are encouraged to share this article with their community and help get the word out about this exciting opportunity to learn about union career pathways — you never know who’s life you could change.
