Convening under the Council’s 2026 theme, ‘Workers Decide,’ hundreds of union members will gather in Central Washington for three days of learning, community building, and action
WENATCHEE, WA (June 10, 2026) — Hundreds of delegates representing unions from across the state will gather in Wenatchee on July 21-23 for the 2026 Constitutional Convention of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO. The state’s largest union organization, representing some 650 local unions and more than 600,000 union members, will hold its annual convention at the Wenatchee Convention Center.

WSLC Vice Presidents are recognized at the 2025 Convention in Vancouver, WA.
At Convention, delegates will hear from speakers like recently reelected AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Bernie Burnham, participate in an expansive slate of workshops and panels.
Convention delegates will consider the resolutions that are a key part of convention business, and which provide guidance for the WSLC’s work. It is through the debate and passage of these resolutions that WSLC positions, policies and priorities are established.

“Secretary Treasurer Carter and I are excited to bring our labor family together in Wenatchee this July,” said WSLC President April Sims. “WSLC Conventions are an annual demonstration of our movement’s dedication and enthusiasm for building worker power and fostering community among working people across Washington state. Together, we’ll learn new ideas, build solidarity, and fill up our cups, leaving Convention better prepared to keep fighting for justice and opportunity for Washington’s working families.”
