Trunk-or-Treat returns October 25

The beloved, family-friendly event at the Teamsters hall is back to celebrate spooky season

TUKWILA, WA (October 15, 2025) — Dust off your witch’s hat and don your finest ghastly ghoul costume, it’s time for the annual Trunk-or-Treat! Join local families at the Teamsters building in Tukwila on Saturday, October 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for an evening of frightful, silly fun.

This yearly event offers a safe and communal opportunity for kids to trick or treat — and an opportunity for grown ups to flex their creative muscles by hosting a trunk for the event. Here’s how it works: sign up to host, decorate your trunk with a spooky, fun, or union-proud theme, and help make magic for the community’s kids as they trick-or-treat from car to car.

Details for hosting a trunk and a complete event timeline are below. Interested in hosting? Contact Shaunie Wheeler at shaunie@mlklabor.org to sign up.

  • Decorate your trunk — eerie, silly, or union-proud themes are all welcome.
  • Costumes and decorations should be family-friendly (but still a little frightful).
