Skill-up at the Winter South Sound Labor School

A full list of workshops has been announced for the one-day labor school convening at the end of January

The following is from the Thurston-Lewis-Mason CLC:

OLYMPIA, WA (January 22, 2026) — New information has been released about the workshops being offered at The Thurston – Lewis – Mason Central Labor Council and Washington Labor Education and Research Center (WA LERC’s) winter South Sound Labor School session on January 31st at Evergreen State College.

“Union curious” workers, union members, and members of community organizations will have the opportunity to engage in panel discussions, community strategy sessions, and workshops such as “Structured Conversations,” “Planning Campaigns Around Grievances and Issues,Participatory and Engaging Bargaining,” “Answering Hard Questions and Objections,” and more. These quarterly South Sound Labor School sessions will offer working people – whether they’re in a union or not – the education they need to make our communities stronger and more effective. The $20 registration fee for each Saturday session, which covers a light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day. Union members should check with their leadership about having their registration fees sponsored by their Locals.
