Sign up today for the Washington Labor and Education Research Center’s Fall 2026 Evening Union Skills Course: Introduction to Collective Bargaining for Workplace Power

The following is from the Washington Labor and Education Research Center (WA LERC):

SEATTLE, WA (September 17, 2026) — This complete Bargaining 101 Course covers all aspects of bold, energetic, member-driven contract campaigns. Over the course of six weeks, we’ll cover legal frameworks, skills at the bargaining table, researching and preparing contract proposals, planning effective participatory contract campaigns, negotiation skills, opening up participatory bargaining, and much more!

This series will be held across 6 Thursdays in October and November from 6pm to 8pm, hybrid, both in-person at the Labor Center in Georgetown and online via Zoom. We encourage folks to register with their fellow union members!

  • Session 1: Grounding Concepts for Bargaining 101, Thursday, October 8th
  • Session 2: Preparing Contract Proposals, Thursday, October 15th
  • Session 3: Power at the table, Thursday, October 22nd
  • Session 4: Bargaining Simulation, Thursday, October 29th
  • Session 5: Planning a Campaign of Escalating Actions, Thursday, November 5th
  • Session 6: Member Participation in Bargaining, Thursday November 12th
