Machinists voting today on Boeing contract extension offer

(Dec. 7) — Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751 are voting today from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a four-year contract extension offer from the Boeing Co. The union is recommending members accept the offer. The vote requires 50% plus one to accept the offer. (Read more about the offer at www.iam751.org or in The Stand.)

Voting is taking place at the union’s Seattle Hall, 9135 15th Pl. S.; Auburn Hall, 201 A St. SW; Everett Hall, 8729 Airport Road; Renton Hall, 233 Burnett N.; and the Frederickson-Pierce County Skills Center, 16117 Canyon Rd.

Ballots from all locations will be transported to the Seattle Union Hall (9135 15th Pl S.) after the polls close at 6 p.m. where volunteer rank-and-file members will count the ballots. The results, which will include ballots from members in Kansas, Oregon and Washington, will be announced at the Seattle Hall when the tally is complete, likely to be around 8 or 9 p.m.
