TVW examines state employee pay raises

TVW-state-employee-raisesOLYMPIA (Feb. 25, 2015) — The latest edition of TVW’s “The Impact” examined the issue of funding state employee contracts that would grant Washington’s public workers their first cost-of-living pay raises in seven years — 3 percent this year and 1.8 percent in 2016.

The report features an interview with June Robinson, who works at Mount Vernon Community Services and is a member of Washington Federation of State Employees, AFSCME Council 28. She attended the Washington State Labor Council’s Legislative Lobbying Conference last Friday to meet with her district’s senator and representatives at the State Capitol.
