‘Los Eternos Indocumentados’ film screening Feb. 29 at WSLC

SEATTLE — The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO has joined 20 local organizations in co-sponsoring a film screening and discussion of Los Eternos Indocumentados (The Eternally Undocumented) this Saturday, Feb. 29 at 2 p.m. at the WSLC Seattle office, 321 16th Ave. South. Los Eternos is a documentary exploring the root causes and lived experiences of forced migration from Central America to the United States.

The screening is co-hosted by the Seattle Interfaith Migrant Rights Alliance (SIMRN) and the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International Migrants Alliance (IMA-PNW). Following the film, there will be an audience discussion informed by some local experts on ways to take action and stand in solidarity with migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border and here in Washington state. Donations will be welcomes at the door to support local migrant justice organizations.

The building’s entrance, doorways, and bathrooms are all wheelchair accessible and we will prioritize front row seating for hard of hearing people during our discussion. Spanish interpretation will be available during our discussion after the film. The film has both Spanish and English dialogue and subtitles.

The event is free, but please RSVP here so we can have an accurate headcount. Also see the Facebook event page for more information.
