‘Our Work Continues’ rally at noon Saturday in Seattle

National Day of Action events set for Saturday across Washington

SEATTLE — The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO is calling on all union members and community allies to come together for a “Our Work Continues: Protect Every Person” rally at noon on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Westlake Park, 4th Ave. & Pine St. in downtown Seattle. The rally is being co-sponsored by MLK Labor, plus multiple unions and community groups.

As we celebrate the election of new leadership for this nation, Saturday’s rally will feature Black, Indigenous and People of Color organizers and artists sharing the message: we are united to defend democracy by protecting every vote and every person, and together our work on racial and economic justice will continue.

Please help spread the word about this event on social media using the hashtags: #BlackLivesMatter #CountEveryVote #ProtectEveryPerson

There are other events planned throughout Washington state for Saturday’s National Day of Action to defend democracy and honor the will of the voters. Find events near you, including a Virtual Rally you can join from home, at Protect the Results.
