PNW Cross-Border Day of Solidarity
Gathering at Peace Arch Historical State Park unites workers across the U.S. and Canada border who are pushing for trade policy that prioritizes good-paying jobs and a healthy environment
BLAINE, WA (May 28, 2026) — The Washington Fair Trade Coalition (WFTC) and more than 30 sponsoring unions and organizations are hosting a Cross-Border Day of Solidarity on Saturday, May 30, bringing working people together at the border of Washington state and Vancouver, B.C. The event is a culmination of a month-long series of actions engaging workers in the Pacific Northwest on the need for a ‘Peoples Trade Agenda’ and the power of cross-border advocacy and solidarity to combat corporate interests prioritizing profits over the needs of working families.
The PNW Cross-Border Day of Solidarity gathering on Saturday, May 30 starts at 12:00 p.m. at the American Kitchen at Peace Arch Historical State Park in Blaine, Washington.
From WFTC:
As the governments of the United States, Mexico and Canada actively negotiate new rules for the global economy, our administration and others are pursuing a rigged agenda that puts the interests of billionaires and corporations ahead of working people, family farmers and the environment in North America and beyond. In response, people are coming together across borders and across issue areas to say “Enough!

On May 30th 2026, activists and civil society organizations in Washington, Vancouver, B.C., and throughout the PNW will be mobilizing in a Day of Solidarity that:
-
- Rejects attempts to pit working people in the U.S., Mexico and Canada against one another in an ongoing race-to-the-bottom:
- Demonstrates that communities across North American have shared interests, including good-paying jobs, a healthy environment, sovereignty and more; and
- Demands that governments prioritize the needs of people and communities ahead of the power and profits of greedy corporations!
Join us May 30 in highlighting the struggles and resistance of workers, migrants, and many others in the face of corporate rule, and to celebrate a people’s trade agenda!
