Packed forum urges against Social Security office closures

SEATTLE — Several hundred residents of Seattle’s International District attended a packed-house forum on Jan. 13 about the imminent closure of two local Social Security Administration offices and why the SSA should reverse that decision in order to preserve equitable, accessible, community-based service for all. (See the event flier for more details.)

TAKE A STAND! Please Call Social Security Regional Administrator Stanley Friendship at 206-615-2100. Urge him to reverse the decision to close the International District and Belltown SSA offices. Tell him to maintain equitable, accessible, community-based SSA service by keeping those offices open.
